Well.
I have neglected this here blog. Shame on me. I have great reasons though to which I will not bore you with. I have however, learned some things. I will pass that vast info off to you.
Do what you will.
*When drying your clothes around the woodstove, turn garments inside out. This is so that when you scorch them, or burn them just a tad, you did it to the inside. The hope here is that once turned the other way, it will still be wearable. It's a slight hope, but still.
*I could write a small pamphlet on 50 different ways in which to drape your clothes around the woodstove using clever yet ordinary household objects for optimum drying time.
*I could also write a pampllet on 50 ways to not hang them lest they sail past dry and cruise right into burned.
*the magic word here is rotate, rotate, rotate.
*When you dry clothes in a dryer they come out soft and cuddly. But when you dry clothes around the woodstove they become stiff and crunchy. There is not enough downey to make them soft either. Trust me here.
*You must check wood that has been stored inside just as carefully as you check wood that has been stored outside for spiders. Because garage spiders can be every bit as big and mean looking as their outside brothers and sisters.
*If a neighbor kitten constantly hangs out at your house, chances are you are going to adopt the little hummer, giving you five cats.
Five. You need help.
"You" being me.
*If you let him, a 11 year old boy would never bathe. He would just funk out until you could literally see stink. And a 7 year old girl doesn't think that everyday is necessary. Every other would suit her just fine.
*Sometimes things all align in the world to totally bless you.
*You should always no matter what, start your day by reading your bible. No exceptions. If you do not start your day with it, you best end it with it, lest you fall on your face once again.
*I have some of the most beautiful people as my friends and family. No matter the terrible skeletons spilled out of my closet, the one's who loved me before they knew-love me still after.
*It doesn't matter if you find YHWH or He finds you, it will change everything. Some of those changes are going to hurt something fierce. And some of them will make you deliriously happy. But in the end you will be a much better person.
*booya broadband
*Survivor is on again and it makes my thursdays very happy indeed.
*My new kitty TreeFlower will stick his nose in my ear and nurse. If you have never been nursed by a purring kitten in the ear, I totally recomend it. Quite ticklish.
*Star wars. Do you know how dad burn cool this movie is? If I had a light saber I would do several things such as cut up fruit and weed eat my lawn. If a bad guy needed a body part cut off, I could do that too. I hear my Ex hubby was wanting to geld himself. I could totally take a little off the top for him. Pity my handshakes. I would also clips all my pets nails with that cool light saber. Maybe I would take up ice sculptures or something. No matter, I totally want a green one.
*When did I become a dork? Oh. Always? Thanks for clearing that up.

Welcome back, my friend. A few more about the woodstove and you could have called it Woodstove 102 or Woodstove 201, or whatever the next course in the curriculum is. You are the best. As long as I live, I will always have a Shalagh story. Never a dull icebreaker when you've got a Shalagh story. |
